DUCK PIN BOWLING

The only game where the amount of fun you’ll have is on par with how difficult it is to get a strike. Consider yourself a pro bowler? Duck pin bowling might change that.

TIPS AND TRICKS

For Duck Pin Bowling

Bowling's Tougher, Younger Brother

Duck pin bowling has a rep of ‘angry bowling’ around Lane7 and it’s because the pins can take it. Imagine your boss’ face when you throw the ball.

Low and Slow

Tip 2: Low and Slow We’re not just making up rhymes for the sake of it. Go low, and go slow if you want to win at duck pin bowling. You’ll thank us later.

It’s All About the Grip

Duckpin balls are smaller, but that doesn’t mean you should just chuck ’em. Find a comfortable grip and let the ball roll smoothly – think glide, not grenade.

Aim for the Pocket

Just like in regular bowling, the sweet spot is the pocket (between the 1 and 3 pins). Nail that angle and watch the pins scatter – bonus points if you knock down the elusive 10-pin!

Use the Bumpers (If You’re Feeling Generous)

Some duck pin bowling lanes have bumpers to keep the ball on track. Use them for a confidence boost, or to mess with your mates who think they’re pros.
